Breakfast cereal is not bad. Low sugar, fortified cereals are a great addition to your child’s diet.
Children do not need to drink milk if they don’t like it. Calcium can come from many different sources such as cheese, yoghurt, fish, oranges, green vegetables, bread and fortified cereals.
Fussy eating is common and is often grown out of with time. It can take 20-30 times for a child to know whether they like something, so don’t stop offering a particular food if your child doesn’t like it the first or second time.
There is a lot of misinformation on the internet when it comes to children’s nutrition and it’s important to ensure you are looking for reliable sources such as the British Dietetic Association and the NHS website.
